Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) PERCHALUK May 8, 1926 - July 20, 2005 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Perchaluk at age 79. Bill passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB, on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, surrounded by his family. Bill's memory is cherished by his wife, Ethel; son Jim (and wife Heather); granddaughters, Claire and Grace; brother John; sister Anne Kotowich; goddaughters, Maryka Isaac, Roseanne Plesh and Joanne Peccia; also, a large extended family. Bill was predeceased by his parents, John and Rosalia (nee Mlynarowich) Perchaluk; sister Vera Plesh; and brothers, Russell, Mike, Joe and Roy. Bill was born in Shortdale, MB, where he grew up. He attended high school in Bield and Roblin and went on to the University of Manitoba where he became a geologist. In 1953 he married Ethel Ritchie, the prettiest and smartest girl in the Roblin area. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2003. Their son Jim, born in 1965, married Heather Cathcart of Winnipeg. Granddaughters Claire and Grace where born in 1996 and 1998 respectively. Bill's interests included golfing, travelling and reading, but he will be remembered best for his 42 years as a geologist and contract manager with Midwest Drilling in Flin Flon and Winnipeg, before retiring in 1998. Special thanks to Jim and Suzanne Glavin, Gillian Nattress, and staff of GD4 Health Sciences Centre, including Bill, for their kind support. An open house will be held for friends and family Sunday evening, August 7, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at 24 Swann Dr. (Charleswood), Winnipeg. A graveside service will be held at the Tummel Deer-Park Cemetery, Roblin, MB, at 1:30 p.m., August 9, 2005. Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream, Dad.
